For safety reasons, at Franklin Furnace/ Ohio River KOA Journey, if your camper is in bad condition, we will not be able to accommodate you - to avoid any legal, electric, water and sanitary problems, Your camper must be well-maintained. Please be considerate of other guests. Thank you.

Saturday: 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM (Hours may vary in wintertime) All guests must register upon arrival. Day-use visitors may be in developed recreational areas from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm. All visitors must check in at the main office. Only campers may remain in this area after 10:00 pm  All rates are calculated for a family of four(4) people. Kids under 6 are free. Extra adults are $5.00 per day. All guests must register upon arrival.

Vehicle Operation

5 MPH throughout the campground.
Parking passes must be visibly displayed. Up to two (2) vehicles only per site - Vehicles must be parked on the assigned site and may not block other sites.
ATVs and dirt bikes are not allowed at the campground. Golf carts and bicycles are welcome. You must park your boat in assigned areas.

Swimming Lake

The swimming lake is for campers only. $5.00 per visitor. Must sign a waiver at the office.
Life jackets are required for over 3 feet deep with adult supervision.
Warning: No lifeguard on duty. Swim at your own risk.
All children in the lake area must have adult supervision at all times.

All bathers must shower before entering the lake.
No spitting or bodily fluids in the lake.
No diving is permitted into the shallow area.
Bottles, glass, and other hazardous objects are prohibited within the lake area.
People who appear to be afflicted with cuts, skin diseases, communicable diseases, colds, fever, infection or other physical ailments are prohibited from entering the water.
Any person suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs is prohibited from entering the lake.
The lake will close during any severe or dangerous weather conditions.

Pets

We are pet-friendly. Good dog behavior is required. Dogs of any breed that are hostile or aggressive will be asked to leave the campground along with their owners. Bring the leash. Dogs must be on leashes no longer than six (6) feet when outside their owners' vehicles or rental units. Do not leave a tethered dog unattended. Remember manners. Constant barking bothers other campers. If your pet is too vocal, you will need to find other accommodations. Please clean up after your pet.
Just two (2) dogs are allowed for campers. Current rabies certificate required.

Site Requirements

Please leave the campsite as clean as you found it. Please take all trash to dumpsters at departure. All sewer hose connections must be sealed. Patio mats and ground covers – In consideration of future campers, please roll up outdoor patio mats when not in use at night. This helps us keep the sites grassy, not muddy. The building of structures is prohibited at any campsite.

Fishing and Wildlife Laws and Regulations

Please visit ohiodnr.gov. Also, you can pick up a copy at our office. NO CUTTING OR DISFIGURING OF TREES! We want our trees healthy and growing for everyone to enjoy. Hunting is NOT allowed at our campground.

Noise and Conduct

This is a family-friendly campground. Causing public inconvenience, annoyance, or alarm by making unreasonably loud noise is prohibited.

Please be considerate of your neighbors

Do not walk through other campsites and always keep noise and music to a respectful volume. Remember Quiet Hours: 11:00 PM – 8:00 AM

Bathhouse

Treat bathrooms and laundromat with care. Please report any problems to the office. Quarter exchange for laundry machines is available at the camp store.

Alcoholic Beverages

Consumption and open containers of alcohol in public areas is prohibited.

Fires

Campfires must be inside fire rings provided by Franklin Furnace/ Ohio River KOA and may not be moved. Living trees, shrubs and plants may not be cut or damaged. Remove all flammable material from around the campfire to prevent its escape. Fires may be prohibited during burn ban conditions. Fire pits are not trash cans. Firewood is available for sale in the camp store. Due to the spread of several insects and various quarantine rules, we have to take additional precautions to protect our forest area. Thus, all wood to burn on-site must be purchased from the store. We are no longer able to accept word-of-mouth statements of origin. Please see or call the office for after-hours wood purchasing.

Sanitation

Please take all trash to dumpsters at departure. Possessing or leaving refuse, debris, or litter in an exposed or unsanitary condition and placing in or near a stream is prohibited. Keep lakes and rivers clean. No littering.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel your reservation 48 hours before your arrival day. We will refund your deposit on the site minus $10.00 for cancellation fee. No refund on special events and holidays.
